Private and Tailored Tours

A Private Tailored Tour (Custom Design)
Private tailored tours are quoted based on your personal interests, the number in your group and the choices you make in the design process; such as the types of accomodation, to the places you visit and what you wish to be included . This is a simple process, to which we lead you through one step at a time. Please simply contact us, and we will work through this process with you.

As a personally tailored tour requires alot of hours of work, we do require a deposit of USD200.00 once we start the process of tailoring the tour. We provide you with sample tour quotations that meet your general descriptions first, with no need for a deposit, then we tailor the tour from this point on. It is as this point, we require the deposit, that will be put towards your final tour cost once completed. It goes without saying, that the number of days it can take to custom a tour, can be very large. And should a client then decide they can't go on the tour, we are at a loss. This USD200.00 simply covers the loss only, should you not be able to take the tour, you had started creating with us.

We are committed to providing you with the highest standards of service, with our strong team spirited approach. We require this small level of commitment from you, simply as this is how we make our living.

Why a private tour?
We welcome any thoughts and questions in regards to the following comments. The below, is opening the door, for people to address, and ask questions, about the reality of joining others on tours. These comments will help those of you who are considering a private tour, that this is the best way forward for you and/or your group. Joining others on safari, can with the right attitude, be the best part of a safari experience. Our willingness to enjoy ourselves and others, is a large factor in this scenario.

The small chance however, that there is one guest, who proves to not fit in well with a group tour, is a reality. From our experience, this is generally small, and when it does occur, we promtly deal with the situation the best we can. This requires the support and sensitivity of all guests. Not the pointing of fingers, but an outreached hand of support, to your guide, and to all clients, including the client causing some concern to the group. A successful safari is a 'team effort'. No one person is responsible, for the enjoyment of another. We must all be accountable to our actions, and our behaviour. Vintage Destinations works hard to ensure we make the best of choices, given all circumstances. See Terms and Conditions.

We wish to be clear, from our experience, and with our groups to date, they all appreciate the team spirit of traveling as a group, and end up forming friendships that last a life time. The good news is we have choice, as to how we travel.

Please contact us for options suitable for you on a private safari, or a set-departure group tour.

We welcome your comments and questions,
Very best regards,
Timothy Jackson, CEO
